The Clinical Research Institute of Benin (IRCB) was founded in 2015 and is directed by Professor Achille Massougbodji. It is an institution dedicated to various clinical research activities:
- The management of clinical research projects and their submission to public or private sponsors in order to acquire funds for the realization of these projects ;
- The conduct of clinical research studies in the field of infectious or metabolic diseases, particularly those endemic to sub-Saharan Africa;
- The establishment of national and international collaborations in the field of biomedical research;
- Training in biomedical research through the supervision of researchers, students, and technical personnel of all nationalities;
- The hosting of international researchers for clinical studies conducted by the IRCB.
IRCB is located in the town of Abomey Calavi in Benin.
